Rays trade Josh Lowe to Angels in 3-team deal; get Gavin Lux, pitcher

TAMPA, Fla. — The Rays continued their roster overhaul on Thursday, trading outfielder Josh Lowe to the Angels in a three-team deal that brought second baseman Gavin Lux and pitcher Chris Clark to Tampa Bay.
Lowe, the Rays’ 2016 first-round pick, was coming off a second straight disappointing season marred by injury and inconsistent play.
Lux, 28, played parts of five seasons with the Dodgers before being traded last offseason to the Reds. He is a left-handed hitter who has a career .256 average and .713 OPS.
Clark, 24, pitched last season at Class A, having been a 2023 fifth-round pick of the Angels from Harvard.
